About 200 people decked out from head to toe in red gathered Tuesday at the Reikart House in Amherst for Buffalo's annual Go Red for Women luncheon to raise awareness and help fund the fight against heart disease and stroke, which claim the lives of more women than all forms of cancer combined.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 26-year-old Yassin A. Abdikadir of Buffalo pleaded guilty Tuesday morning before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of grand larceny in the second degree (class "C" felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest charge in the indictment against him.
