After being closed to the public for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University will reopen to the public Saturday, June 12. Patrons may visit the museum on weekends - from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sundays.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, all New Yorkers 30 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine. Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday announced appointments are now available at 10 new state-run mass-vaccination sites across the state, including The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls at 101 Old Falls St. All 10 sites will open Friday, March 19, and will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Each site will have the ability to vaccinate more than 1,000 New Yorkers daily, dependent on supply from the federal government.

Cuomo announces $4 million to help New York farms address impacts of climate change

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday announced $4 million is being awarded through the Climate Resilient Farming Grant Program to help 80 farms across the state reduce their environmental footprints and prepare for extreme weather events resulting from climate change. His team said the projects selected will reduce greenhouse gases by an estimated 90,000 metric tons of CO2 per year, or as much as eliminating nearly 20,000 cars from the road.
