FMC's Agricultural Sciences Plant employees in Middleport, working with Local 1180 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and plant management, recently collected and donated several boxes and bags filled with nonperishable food the Middleport Food Pantry for local residents in need of access.

Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel has announced the lineup for its seventh "Rockin' the Downs" concert series. The shows, nine in all, will be held on Friday nights outside in the middle of the Batavia Downs horse racing track. Shows start in June and run into August of 2024.

Last night, violinist Lindsey Stirling kicked off another year of her incredibly successful North American "Snow Waltz 2023" tour, in Stateline, Nevada, at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. In support of her smash Christmas album, "Snow Waltz," Stirling will embark across the U.S., hitting 20-plus cities, performing in Las Vegas, El Paso, Atlantic City and Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo (Tuesday, Dec. 12).

Sophia Brielle Benintende of Williamsville was a fierce, philanthropic 9-year-old girl who bravely fought an aggressive and rare type of cancer called Ewing sarcoma. Sophia passed away on May 9, after an extraordinarily courageous two-year battle. Her passion for helping others continues to live on through her nonprofit pediatric cancer organization, Sophia the Fierce Inc.
