On Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon, Dr. Glenda R. Rose and Dr. Thomas G. Barba of Rose Chiropractic, P.C., in Lewiston, will sponsor the 34th annual "Doctors with a Heart Day" for their patients. Nonperishable food items will be collected to benefit the Niagara Community Action Program (NiaCAP) food pantry, in exchange for chiropractic services.

Theresa Ann Thomas (nee Lynch) was born March 14, 1942, and raised in Manoa, Havertown, Pennsylvania. She is a first-generation Irish American. Her parents, John Lynch and "Tess" Lynch (nee Quane), both immigrated to the U.S. in the early 20th century.

The Village of Lewiston Board voted Tuesday to rescind prior approval given to the Historical Association of Lewiston to close Center Street on April 8 for an eclipse viewing event. Trustees Tina Coppins and Dan Gibson voted "no," preferring the roadway remain available to HAL for reenactment programming that had been billed, "The Eclipse: A Step Back in Time."

Mount St. Mary's Hospital (MSMH) announced its Center for Sports Medicine & Physical Rehabilitation, now located at 1 Columba Drive No. 5 in Niagara Falls, will be moving on Jan. 15. The new department will relocate to the campus of Mount St. Mary's Hospital, 5300 Military Road, Lewiston, with the services located at the hospital's north lobby entrance.

On Saturday, Jan. 13, Old Fort Niagara will present a special winter adventure called "Jolicoeur's Journey," an interactive living history program based on the memoirs of Jolicoeur Charles Bonin. The young soldier trekked from Quebec to Fort Niagara in the winter of 1754.
