Erie County Senior Services falls prevention seminar series continues

The Erie County Department of Senior Services falls prevention seminar series brings together a panel of experts to discuss falls, their causes, identifying home hazards and ways to improve balance, and other falls prevention topics with area seniors. The six-person panel will present an informative session at the East Aurora Senior Center (101 King St.) at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. The event will include a "Stay Fit Dining" noontime meal.

Oath, a subsidiary of Verizon, has awarded a $19,557 community grant to Niagara Falls Memorial Center for its Niagara Community care coordination training project. The funds are included in $427,826 awarded to 20 community organizations by Oath's Yahoo Community Fund for Niagara County and Oath's Yahoo Community Benefit Fund.
