'Party on the Portico' returns to Buffalo History Museum in August

Ten Lives Club has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the East Hill Foundation to help save more cats in Western New York. The grant is part of the Save the Cats Project and will allow the rescue to purchase a new feline serenity suite, a flat-top surgery table and an autoclave.

On Thursday, New York State Senate Republican Leader Rob Ortt and Assembly members Angelo Morinello and Mike Norris sent a letter requesting immediate coordination between the New York State Office of Emergency Management (SEMO), the cities of Lockport and Niagara Falls, and Niagara County, regarding flash flooding that occurred July 20. Severe rainstorms caused a significant amount of damage throughout those areas.

AAA Western and Central New York is reminding motorists to "Slow Down, Move Over" after a tragic incident in Cincinnati. The AAA family is deeply saddened by the death of one of our drivers over Independence Day weekend. 32-year-old Glenn Ewing was placing a AAA member's vehicle on the back of a tow truck when he was hit by a passing vehicle. Glenn's death underscores why "Slow Down, Move Over" laws are critical to safety and drivers must slow down, and move over into the next lane, if they can do so safely.
