I recently dined at Lewiston's Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q. There was a three-page menu with a wide range of entrees to select from. Everyone in our party seemed to be pleased with the variety of food options. Not only were there many options, but everything ordered was delicious and worth every penny.

The Western New York native and Canisius College grad (we won't hold that against her), has been working her way up the coaching ranks since the day she left college. All that time and hard work has paid off with her returning home for her first Division 1 coaching job.

This past weekend, the Purple Eagles men's hockey team improved to 17-4-5. The team's 16th Atlantic Hockey Association win set a new program record for conference wins in a season. The previous record was set by the 1999-00 team with a record of 15-0-2.

The Niagara University's men's basketball team, despite its recent loss to Loyola, leads the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) thanks to a recent seven-game winning streak.

"I would be lying if I said I expected that; I knew we could win every game, but I also knew we could lose every game and that's why I think we're doing well," Niagara University's head coach Joe Milhalich said of the seven wins in a row.

Niagara University Players present an all-student-run production of 'Time Stands Still'

From Feb. 22 through 24, the Niagara University Players will present an entirely student-run production of "Time Stands Still" by Donald Margulies in the Leary Theatre within the Elizabeth Ann Clune Center for Theatre, Clet Hall.

Directed by NU Theater Junior Nathan Andrew Miller, "Time Stands Still" is a funny, passionate, thought-provoking and heartbreaking piece of work. It is a look at war through the lens of a young couple brought together by the conflict in Iraq only to have their relationship challenged by it (the show contains adult subject matter).

'Fight Cancer from Behind the Wheel'

Facing a cancer diagnosis is difficult enough; worrying about how to get to treatments shouldn't be a concern. "Road to Recovery" is an American Cancer Society service program that provides transportation for cancer patients to their cancer life-saving treatments and home again. Volunteer drivers are urgently needed across Western New York.
