Niagara Falls top view now ADA-accessible

Terrapin Point at Niagara Falls State Park reopened Wednesday. The area boasting the best view of the Horseshoe Falls, part of Niagara Falls, had been closed since the end of the 2015 summer season in order to accommodate renovations. The main upgrade is Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant pathways.

A new turf will be installed at UB Stadium this summer, and Alumni Arena's basketball court will be refinished - with both playing surfaces prominently featuring the new wordmark and new spirit mark for the University at Buffalo athletics department, as well as the interlocking UB logo.

Community Missions will hold its annual duck race at the Canal Fest of the Tonawandas at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 23. The race will take place in the Erie Canal between Tonawanda and North Tonawanda. Thousands of spectators are expected over the weeklong festival, running Sunday, July 17, through Sunday, July 24.
