Peter Marston will be Grand Island's new supervisor. The current deputy supervisor won on the Conservative line, with 57.76% of the vote, against Republican Mike Madigan, who garnered 41.85%, in Tuesday's general election. Marston got 3,510 votes to Madigan's 2,543.

Senior leadership - President Sonia Clark and Vice President Dave Wedekindt - reported to the board of directors on the organization's highlights and accomplishments for its 50th season. The 2023 campaign featured 189 events, workshops and programs that served nearly 100,000 visitors. Artpark & Company's estimated economic impact to the region was $9.7 million.

Here's hoping for all treats and no tricks this Halloween! An estimated 73% of consumers plan to celebrate the holiday this year, up from 69% last year, according to The National Retail Federation.
