Tickets are on sale for the Niagara Wine Trail's "Wine & Charcuterie" weekend food sampling and wine tasting event, set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 3, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 4. The event is sponsored by Cabot Creamery. Guests will pair New York state crafted Cabot Creamery cheese and other charcuterie items with three tastes of wine at each participating winery along the trail.

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard Ball announced the department has updated its online kosher and halal food registry, which allows entities that certify food as kosher or halal to register with the department as mandated. The registry also allows consumers to search for kosher or halal foods in New York state.

Gabby Bergstrom was a Grand Island High School sophomore in 2018 when she and fellow DECA members Luke Hess and Lauren Merletti were on a bus ride home from state competition. It was then they decided owning their own business could give them an edge in winning a state award. Using their cell phones to open craigslist, they found a hot dog stand at 1437 Ferry Road on the mighty Niagara River was available to rent.
