AMC Theatres, the largest theatrical exhibition company in the United States, announced that as of Tuesday, March 17, all AMC locations in the United States will close for at least six to 12 weeks, in compliance with local, state and federal directives, and as a precaution to help ensure the health and safety of moviegoers and theater staff. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation Inc., the nonprofit corporation established to provide oversight for the BPO's endowment fund, announced the re-election of John Zak to an additional one-year term as chair, and the election of Aleks Spellman and Holly Hejmowski as new directors for a three-year term. Additionally, Spellman was elected to serve as secretary and Hejmowski was elected as treasurer. Karen Arrison, John Yurtchuk and Michael Wurst will continue to serve on the board.
