The Niagara Falls Fire Department responded to two fires over the weekend. On Friday, a call at 9:32 p.m. reporting a structure fire, at 764 16th St., resulted in firefighters finding a two-story wood structure fully engulfed in flames. Upon extinguishing the fire, crews entered the building and found it was clear. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Most of the repair work at the Frontier House in the past 10 years has been performed behind the scenes, revealed only through second-hand accounts.
