Legendary Aerosmith frontman, "American Idol" judge, father of "Lord of the Rings" actress Liv, and current country music superstar Steven Tyler presented a clinic in rock star-ery at Artpark. Headlining the first "Tuesdays in the Park" concert of the summer 2018 season, Tyler and The Loving Mary Band performed an assortment of his hit songs: his, ("Sweet Emotion," "Cryin," "Jaded," "Edge," "Dream On"), theirs ("My Own Worst Enemy," "Only Heaven") and others (Beatles' cover "Come Together," Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart"). He strutted, pranced and belted into his signature scarf-wrapped microphone.
An enthusiastic crowd of almost 9,000 rocked along during the 90-minute-plus set.
Tyler and company closed with a mashup of "Walk This Way" and Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love."
Upstart country duo The Sisterhood Band opened the concert.
