Members of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce, representatives of town government and the business community, friends and family are expected to be in attendance at a ribbon-cutting and grand opening to the news restaurant on the Island.
773 North, 2749 Grand Island Blvd., will hold a grand opening on at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony sponsored by the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce.
The restaurant is owned by Executive Chef Christy Zippier and her husband, Jason. They said their mission is to bring a fresh dining experience to Grand Island combining a great atmosphere with a trendy menu that included homemade soups and creative salads to gourmet sandwiches and updated classic comfort foods, all made with real, simple ingredients.
"I wanted to create a place that is welcoming to everyone; where someone can feel just as comfortable stopping in for a burger on their lunch break as they would having a candlelit dinner date," said Christy Zippier. "I always knew that if I opened a restaurant, I would want it to be in our hometown of Grand Island. The support from the community has been overwhelming and we wanted to pay tribute through the name, decor and even some menu items."
Following the ceremony, 773 North will feature their menus for lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended and can be placed at 716-773-6678. For more information, visit
