The Pet Stuff Store, Niagara Falls' only locally owned pet supply store, is now open for business. Owner Marcia Massaro began creating this business when she retired after 20 years from her job as a public housing manager. Massaro said she wanted to follow her passion for pets, and open her own pet store to provide for them.
"I love dogs and cats, and I wanted to do something that I would still be able to work with them and be able to see them," she said.
Massaro said she wants her prices to be reasonable for pet owners to be able to afford feeding their dogs and cats while still getting quality pet food. The Pet Stuff Store also gives a "one on one customer service," she said. Overall, Massaro said she wants the best for both cats and dogs and sees them as a part of the family.
In a press release, Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster said, "It's very exciting to have a locally owned pet store in Niagara Falls once again. I commend Marcia for this undertaking and encourage all of our pet owners to support this locally owned business."
The Pet Stuff Store sells mainly grain-free, limited-ingredient and other high-quality wet and dry foods for both dogs and cats. The Pet Stuff Store also carries essential supplies for pets such as: grooming tools, toys, collars and apparel.
The Pet Stuff Store is located at 1702 Pine Ave., between two long-time small businesses: DiCamillo Bakery and Latina's. The store is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit the store's website, www.ThePetStuffStore.com, or call 716-371-0873.
