Prior to Saturday's presentation of "Baila Brazil" at Artpark, international dance company Bale de Rua teamed with New York City director Carin Jean White, instructor Rachel Novelli and Lewiston Dance students to stage a grand procession down Lewiston streets.
Dozens of dancers began their route at Academy Park. As they paraded down Center Street, toward South Fourth Street, more and more people joined in the celebration. As the procession entered Artpark, the line of people stretched across the parking lot.
Following the pageant, children and families did more dancing, ate themed foods and made arts and crafts.
