Niagara Gospel Mission serves hundreds at summer 'Feed the Falls' community service fair

The Niagara Gospel Mission welcomed families and individuals from across Niagara Falls on Saturday during its summer “Feed the Falls” community service fair at Legends Park, providing free food, valuable community resources, and encouragement to neighbors in need.

Throughout the afternoon, volunteers from the Niagara Gospel Mission served free hot dogs, chips and soda while community members connected with local organizations offering essential services and support. Attendees were encouraged to visit multiple resource booths, allowing them to learn about housing assistance, recovery programs, healthcare resources, employment opportunities and other services available throughout Niagara County.

The event was made possible through the partnership of dedicated volunteers, community organizations and local supporters who gave their time and resources to demonstrate Christ's love in practical ways.

"This event is about more than giving someone a meal," said Dave DiTullio, operations director for the Niagara Gospel Mission. "It's about reminding people they matter. Every conversation, every connection with a service provider, and every act of kindness points people toward hope. We are grateful to everyone who volunteered, partnered with us, and helped make today possible."

“Feed the Falls” has become one of the Niagara Gospel Mission's signature outreach efforts, bringing churches, businesses, civic organizations and volunteers together to serve the community through tangible acts of compassion. The summer “Feed the Falls” event reflects the Niagara Gospel Mission's ongoing commitment to caring for both the immediate and long-term needs of individuals experiencing hardship.
