Title track & radio single inspired by life-changing prison ministry experience

Press release

Worship leader and songwriter Patrick Mayberry released his new EP, “Anybody Else.” It features his current radio single and title track, a song inspired by a powerful moment he experienced while visiting the Louisiana State Penitentiary with prison ministry organization God Behind Bars.

The “Anybody Else EP features six songs, including the current radio single, along with accompanying premium lyric videos. The official music video for the title track is also available below.

The title track's origin traces back to a worship service that included inmates on death row. After a pastor shared the Gospel and invited those who wanted to follow Christ to respond, one man raised his hand. As the man stepped forward to be baptized, Mayberry sensed God whisper a simple question: "Ask if there's anybody else."

Stepping out in faith, Mayberry shared the prompt. Two more men on death row responded and gave their lives to Christ. That moment became the foundation for "Anybody Else," a song centered on the power of the Gospel and the call for believers to share what God has done in their lives.

" 'Anybody Else' started as a question, but it turned into one of the most important things I've ever written,” Mayberry shared. "I've watched this song wreck rooms. That moment stayed with me, not because of where I was, but because of what God had done. The redeemed of the Lord have never been called to stay silent."

The release follows a milestone season for Mayberry, whose hit song "Lead On Good Shepherd" reached No. 1 on the Billboard radio chart and earned a nomination for Worship Song of the Year at the 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards. Earlier this year, he toured with Crowder and Seph Schlueter and has previously toured with Elevation Worship, Phil Wickham, We The Kingdom, Anne Wilson and Pat Barrett.
