Meet Buffalo sports legends at Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino

Upcoming special events connect fans with Sabres, Bandits

As Buffalo’s sports teams prepare to get back into action in front of the home crowd, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino is inviting fans to get into the excitement with some of their sports heroes.

Things get going this Saturday, Feb. 22, when the downtown entertainment mecca hosts a special meet-and-greet event with Buffalo Sabres legends Derek Roy, Dwayne Roloson and recent Sabres Hall of Fame inductee Rob Ray from 3-5 p.m. In addition, former Sabres Andrew Peters and Craig Rivet will record their popular “After the Whistle” podcast live at the casino.

The event takes place ahead of the Sabres game against the New York Rangers at KeyBank Center, located just blocks away.

The excitement continues Tuesday, March 4, with another special Sabres meet-and-greet event from 5-6 p.m. Former players Curtis Brown, Tim Connolly and Brad May are scheduled to be on hand to help gets fans ready for that night’s Sabres-San Jose Sharks matchup.

Peters and Rivet will again record “After the Whistle” live from the casino that evening.

Then, on Saturday, March 8, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino will host a special afterparty with the back-to-back National Lacrosse League champions Buffalo Bandits from 9:30-11:30 p.m., following their game against the Calgary Roughnecks. Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino is part of the heart of Banditland, and several Bandits players attended the casino’s last postgame party on Jan. 10, following the team’s Native American Heritage Night game. The team also celebrated its second consecutive world championship with a meet-and-greet event at Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in June.
