René Jones, chairman and CEO of M&T Bank, joined onstage by M&T executives, senior leadership, partners

In recognition of Black History Month, René Jones, chairman and CEO of M&T Bank, rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Monday morning. The bell-ringing celebrated the invaluable contributions and achievements of the Black community, while also honoring the legacy of Black history and culture.
Jones was joined onstage by fellow members of M&T’s executive leadership team, including David Hollis, senior executive vice president and chief human resources officer; Glenn Jackson, executive vice president and chief diversity officer; Krista Phillips, senior executive vice president and chief customer officer; as well as M&T senior leaders who contribute to empowering diverse voices across the bank’s footprint.
M&T was also joined by partners Donald Felix, president and CEO of Carver Bank; Della Britton, president and CEO of the Jackie Robinson Foundation; and Gregg Gonsalves, chairman of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, who have all played a crucial role in advancing educational and economic opportunities within the Black community.
