Legendary Buddy Guy bringing blues magic to Seneca Niagara in June

Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will welcome a true legend for a night of electrifying blues and timeless songs. Buddy Guy, one of the most influential guitarists of all time, will bring his “Damn Right Encore Tour” to the Seneca Niagara Event Center on Friday, June 6 (8 p.m.) Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, Feb. 7, and start at $45.

Guy, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, has spent his life shaping the evolution of electric blues music, leaving an indelible mark on music history in the process. His innovative style has influenced legendary rock icons like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Stevie Ray Vaughan, among many others.

Born in Louisiana in the 1930s, Guy moved to Chicago in his 20s, where he revolutionized guitar playing with groundbreaking recordings. In addition to the incredible influence he has had on generations of musicians and fellow guitar legends, Guy has amassed countless honors and accolades for his remarkable contributions to music, including seven Grammy Awards, 37 Blues Music Awards, the Presidential National Medal of Arts, and Kennedy Center Honors.

At 88 years old, Guy remains a vital connection to the rich history of the blues, and is dedicated to preserving its legacy for future generations.
