Students Interested in theater & musical theater encouraged to attend
Shea’s Performing Arts Center Press Release
Calling all aspiring theater and musical theater students: Shea’s Performing Arts Center is proud to host the first annual WNY unified college auditions and college fair.
Events, organized by Shea’s arts engagement and education department, offer exciting opportunities for high school students to learn more about and audition for several local colleges and universities - with theater and musical theater programs – at one location.
On Friday, Jan. 31, from 4-8 p.m., attend the college fair to meet faculty, admissions counselors, and other students passionate about the arts. Schools participating in the college fair and the WNY unified college auditions include: Alfred University, Buffalo State University, D’Youville University, Niagara University, SUNY Fredonia, SUNY Niagara, and the University at Buffalo.
On Saturday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m., students will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of multiple faculty and institution representatives, saving time and effort while opening doors to numerous educational opportunities. Whether your passion is acting, musical theater, or design and production, this unified audition is your one-stop step toward pursuing a future in the performing arts.
Both events will take place at Shea’s Performing Arts Center rehearsal halls at 654 Main St., Buffalo. Registration is required and there is a $25 fee for students to audition. To sign up and learn more about how to prepare for auditions, visit www.sheas.org/wny-unified-college-auditions.
