The Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Haseley as its new president, following a thorough and deliberative search process. The Chamber’s executive committee selected Haseley based on her extensive background and experience, which align closely with the Chamber’s current needs and strategic goals.

Haseley brings a wealth of leadership experience to the role. For the past 15 years, she has been with SUNY Niagara, serving as athletic director for the past seven years. She previously served as recreation director and event coordinator for the Town of Niagara, where she played a key role in organizing and overseeing major community events, including the “Music Mania Monday” concert series, “Noel at Niagara” electric light parade, “Trash to Treasure,” 4th of July Independence Day celebration, farmers market, classic car shows, and a variety of youth holiday events.

Reflecting on her new role, Haseley expressed both excitement and gratitude.

“Each role I’ve held has deepened my commitment to fostering community spirit and creating opportunities for engagement, growth and celebration,” she said. “I approach this new chapter with a heart full of excitement, hope for the possibilities ahead, and immense gratitude to the executive board and Chamber Board Chair Matt Villnave for their confidence in my ability to lead. I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to Jennifer Pauly for her exceptional leadership. Her dedication and vision have paved the way for continued success, and I am honored to build upon the strong foundation she has established.”

Villnave shared his enthusiasm for Haseley’s appointment.

“We are thrilled to welcome Amanda into this important role, serving our Chamber members and communities,” he said. “She is a dynamic, high-energy leader with a proven track record of success, and our committee received outstanding recommendations on her behalf. Amanda is eager to get to work, and as a board, we are committed to supporting her while providing the space she needs to lead effectively.”

Haseley officially begins her new role on Monday, Jan. 13.

One of her first key initiatives will be overseeing the Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce Awards Celebration, set to take place Feb. 13 at the Brickyard Brewing Company.

The Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering economic growth, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the overall prosperity of the Niagara Region.
