Shea's Performing Arts Center announces January schedule

Shea’s Performing Arts Center released the schedule of productions and events for January. The month’s lineup includes continued performances of “Disney’s The Lion King,” part of the 2024-25 Five Star Bank Broadway Season; comedian Kevin Hart; Shea’s “Free Family Film Series,” featuring “Inside Out 2”; and a celebration marking the 100-year anniversary of the groundbreaking of Shea’s Buffalo Theatre.

•Through Jan. 5 for multiple performances: “Disney’s The Lion King,” part of the 2024-25 Five Star Bank Broadway Season. Shea’s Buffalo Theatre, 646 Main St., Buffalo.

•Jan. 7-8, between 6-10 p.m., auditions for “Dreamgirls,” coproduced by Ujima Co. Inc. and Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Reserve your spot at https://bit.ly/dreamgirlsauditions.

•Jan. 16: 5:30-7:30 p.m., “A Groundbreaking Cocktail Party” celebrating the 100th anniversary of the groundbreaking of Shea’s Buffalo Theatre. Tickets are $19.25.

•Jan. 16-26 for multiple performances, “Khan the Musical! – A Parody Trek-Tacular” produced by O’Connell & Company. Shea’s Smith Theatre, 654 Main St., Buffalo.

•Jan. 19 at 1 p.m. (new start time – doors open at noon), “Shea’s Free Family Film Series” showing “Inside Out 2,” presented with community support from Spectrum Health. Seating is limited. Tickets are free, but must be reserved online. Shea’s Buffalo Theatre.

•Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m., “Dancing with the Stars Live!” at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre.

•Jan. 22-25 at 7:30 p.m., “Kevin Hart – Acting My Age Tour at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre.

•Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m., The Ultimate Tribute to the Bee Gees at Shea’s 710 Theatre, 710 Main St.

•Jan. 25 at 8 p.m., Buffett’s Margaritaville Tribute Band at Shea’s 710 Theatre, 710 Main St.

•Jan. 31 4-8 p.m., college fair for students interested in acting, theater design and musical theater performance. Shea’s Performing Arts Center Rehearsal Halls, 654 Main St.
