Project Future Center WNY, a martial arts school located in Wheatfield, announced it is the recipient of $2,500 in funding from Niagara County Legislator Jesse Gooch.
Founded by the late Robert F. Heisner, a ninth-degree black belt, Project Future offers programs in aikido, jiu-jitsu, karate, kickboxing and taekwondo for children and adults in its facility at 2720 Niagara Falls Blvd..
Center Vice President Marty Drake said the funding has helped Project Future to procure new equipment for its children’s karate program, including bags, gloves and shields.
“Many thanks to Jesse Gooch for making this happen,” he said.
