Tops Friendly Markets recently concluded its annual “Live United” campaign in support of the United Way of Erie and Niagara counties, having raised over $57,800.
The campaign, which kicked off at the end of August at all participating Tops locations in these counties, concluded Sept. 7. Customers helped raise funds by contributing $1 at any Tops register or by rounding up their change. These donations allow the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County to invest in programs and initiatives that assist thousands of community members who rely on their services.
The United Way's mission is to create long-lasting changes, and "Living United" emphasizes the importance of community collaboration in building a brighter future.
“With the dedication and generosity of our associates and customers, we knew that, together, we were going to be able to not only meet but exceed our goals and make a meaningful impact” said Darren Robbins, United Way board member and VP finance, treasurer for Tops.
Since 2013, Tops has been a steadfast supporter of the United Way, contributing over $49,175 last year alone. In addition to this campaign, Tops also encourages its associates to contribute to the annual campaign.
