Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is excited to announce that acclaimed actor, comedian and activist Tatanka Means will host the second annual Indigenous Fashion Show, taking place the weekend of Nov. 1-2.

The two-day event kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday with the "Behind the Seams" exclusive preview experience, followed by the Indigenous Fashion Show at 6 p.m. Saturday.

“We want to shine a spotlight and celebrate the beauty, artistry, and cultural significance of Indigenous fashion and its growing presence in the world of contemporary design,” said Joanne Israel, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino general manager. “The inaugural Indigenous Fashion Show last year was an incredible success. We expect this year’s show to be even bigger. Ultimately, our goal is for this show to become one of the premier platforms for Indigenous fashion and design in the northeast.”

Means is an award-winning actor and stand-up comedian from Chinle, Arizona, representing the Navajo, Oglala Lakota, Yankton Dakota, and Omaha Nations. He appeared in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated film “Killers of the Flower Moon,” starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone. Upcoming projects for Means include Kevin Costner’s “Horizon,” the sequel “Wind River: Rising,” and the highly anticipated A24 horror film “Opus.” He will also be featured in the new Netflix series “Ransom Canyon.”

In addition to his acting career, Means is a renowned stand-up comedian, performing across Indian Country and bringing laughter and motivational messages to audiences of all ages. He was recently featured in the PBS special “Roots of Comedy” with Jesus Trejo. Means was previously named Entertainer of the Year by the National Indian Gaming Association, solidifying his place as a leading figure in Indigenous entertainment.

The second annual Indigenous Fashion Show will spotlight the exceptional talents of 17 Indigenous designers and 50 models from across North America. The weekend-long celebration will kick off with the “Behind the Seams” VIP preview night on Nov. 1. Guests will enjoy an exclusive preview of the runway show, meet-and-greet opportunities with participating designers and models, and interactive activation booths featuring brands like IT Cosmetics, N8iv Beauty, and Cheekbone Beauty. This is an age-21-and-over event. Tickets are on sale for $20.

On Nov. 2, the Indigenous Fashion Show will showcase a stunning blend of traditional and contemporary designs, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistry of Indigenous fashion. After the show, attendees can shop the runway at pop-up shops hosted by the designers. This is an age-16-and-over event. Tickets are on sale now, with prices ranging from $10-$30.
