Lewiston Wing Walk: Eat your way through village's best wing spots

The Roaming Table Food Tours has announced the inaugural Lewiston Wing Walk, set to take place Sept. 28. This new event invites wing enthusiasts to roam the streets of Lewiston while sampling the best chicken wings the village has to offer – and voting for their favorite.

This 90-minute to two-hour event will feature tastings from seven of Lewiston’s top eateries, including local favorites The Brickyard Pub & BBQ, Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen, Vincenzo’s, Apple Granny, Favorite's, Cask + Cow, and Tin Pan Alley. Participants will follow an official Wing Walk map as they journey from restaurant to restaurant, savoring a variety of unique and flavorful chicken wing creations while keeping track on their official scorecard.

“We’re excited to introduce this new annual event to the Lewiston community,” said Chris Tepas, owner of The Roaming Table Food Tours. “The Wing Walk is a great way to highlight the amazing local restaurants we have here in Lewiston, all while enjoying some of the best wings in Western New York.”

In addition to the wing tastings, the event will conclude with a post-event party at The Lewiston Stone House, where participants can enjoy live music by Amanda Ashley Music, beverages (first drink included in ticket purchase), and an awards ceremony. One restaurant will be crowned the 2024 Wing Walk winner and earn the title of having the best wings in Lewiston.

A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit UPward Design for Life, a nonprofit organization dedicated to furnishing homes for refugees, victims of domestic violence, and individuals transitioning from homeless shelters.

“I grew up in Lewiston, have had wings at all these restaurants, and I know it’s going to be clucking hard to choose a favorite,” said David Seide, CWO (chief wing officer). “It’s super important to partner with a charitable organization in the community, and UDFL’s mission is one we know that transforms the lives of those in need by helping furnish their new homes.”

This event will also run concurrently with the first day of the Lewiston Harvest & Hops Festival, adding even more fun to a weekend filled with food, drinks and community spirit.
