Memorial appoints Kochanowski-Sutter vice president of quality & corporate compliance

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announced Lorraine Kochanowski-Sutter, R.N., B.S.N., M.S., D.C., as its vice president of quality and corporate compliance. In her new role, “she will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the quality of care provided at NFMMC, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance and patient safety.”

Kochanowski-Sutter brings over 20 years of expertise in health care, quality management, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining NFMMC, she spent nearly a decade at UnitedHealthcare, where she held several key leadership roles; most recently serving as a Medicaid strategist and training lead, where she was instrumental in overseeing program performance, risk management, and quality initiatives, all aimed at enhancing compliance and ensuring fiscal sustainability.

During her tenure at UnitedHealthcare, she also served as a business analyst and regulatory adherence program owner, where she excelled in managing business and clinical operations, developing key performance indicators, and leading multiple regulatory adherence quality audit programs.

Additionally, Kochanowski-Sutter worked as an RN administrator and clinic manager at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, where she was responsible for daily business and clinical operations at a 199-bed facility.

A licensed registered nurse in New York and Florida, Kochanowski-Sutter has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Niagara University, a Master of Science in clinical nutrition from New York Chiropractic College, and a Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College.
