Tops Friendly Markets Press Release

Tops Friendly Markets announced its annual campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) raised over $407,000. The initiative, which ran at all participating Tops Friendly Markets locations, concluded Saturday, July 6.

Customers supported the CMNH campaign by purchasing a $1 Children’s Miracle Network “Miracle Balloon,” or rounded up their change at any participating Tops.

Proceeds from the campaign benefit the local women and children’s hospitals in its communities. Thanks to the generous support of its shoppers and associates over the 20 years Tops has been involved in supporting the campaign, the company has helped to successfully raise over $4.45 million.

"We are immensely thankful to everyone who generously donated to support our hospitals through our annual campaign," said Ron Ferri, president of Tops Friendly Markets. "In these challenging times, your contributions are more crucial than ever to ensure our frontline workers have the necessary resources to provide the best care for our most precious assets – our children."

The participating hospitals include:

√ Arnot Ogden Medical Center

√ Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital

√ Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital

√ Golisano Children's Hospital

√ Maria Fareri Children's Hospital

√ Oishei Children's Hospital

√ Saint Vincent Hospital

√ Samaritan Medical Center

√ The University of Vermont Children's Hospital

√ Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital

Our local hospitals will use these funds for critical life-saving treatments and health care services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, child life services that put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays, and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these health services. When we improve the health of all children and allow them the opportunity to reach their full potential, we also improve our communities for years to come.
