SBA's Buffalo District welcomes seasoned small business advocate to team

The Buffalo District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) welcomes Sara Vescio as the new outreach and marketing specialist.

A press release stated, “Vescio was hired to build and maintain a network of collaborative partnerships throughout the region’s economic development ecosystem. With her at the helm, SBA’s collaborative partners and the 14 county service area entrepreneurs can expect an even more robust network of support. Her expertise will amplify the resources available to small businesses, ensuring that entrepreneurs can access the guidance, training and opportunities they need to thrive.”

Vescio brings 25 years of experience building and convening networks, most recently as the director of the Women’s Business Center at Canisius University, an SBA resource partner. Under her leadership, the WBC saw growth in its programs and impact. The press release noted, “The WBC utilized its partnership with the SBA to help support numerous local women entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses, becoming successful drivers of Buffalo’s economy.”

“We’re thrilled to have Sara’s expertise and energy joining our team,” SBA District Director Victoria Reynolds said. “We’re confident that her ability to connect to people and elevate a brand will be a tremendous contribution to our strategy and future growth.”
