Local guests are asked to bring their drivers license or other form of ID with them, as proof of living in Western New York, to receive free Fashion Outlets promotional items. The mall will also highlight stores that feature Niagara Falls and Buffalo-themed merchandise, local sports team items and more.
“We are proud to celebrate what makes us Western New Yorkers, and the many assets we have in our own backyard,” said Susie Swiatkowski, Fashion Outlets marketing manager. “We look forward to welcoming everyone, especially our local and Western New York regional guests, to join us to learn about summer activities in our area, while enjoying shopping at our mall and having lunch in our food court.”
The (716) Day event will also unveil the new “Barrel Over Niagara Falls” selfie station, created by local artist Ali Price of AliWay Designs. In 2023, Ali designed a modular display highlighting eras within Niagara Falls history. The new selfie station for 2024 will complement Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls’ historical display, and will be a main highlight of the (716) Day celebration.
Guests of (716) Day are also asked to bring a donation of a new backpack and school supplies to support the upcoming Fashion Outlets back-to-school backpack giveaway, benefitting area students, being held Aug. 17. Donations of new socks, undergarments and toiletries are also being accepted to benefit the Packard Court Community Center.
“What would a Western New York event be without a charitable component?” Swiatkowski said. “With charity as part of our Western New York nature, we hope guests will consider making a donation to help prepare area students for a successful school year.”
