Valor looks to take step toward reclaiming ESW heavyweight championship
Press Release
"Invincible" Vince Valor will make his highly anticipated return to Empire State Wrestling at “Everything To Gaine” on Saturday, July 20, at Buffalo RiverWorks. The Niagara Falls native will enter the “Everything To Gaine Rumble” in which the winner will become the No. 1 contender to the ESW heavyweight championship.
Valor overcame several obstacles in his professional and personal life to reach this point in his career. These experiences include the following:
•Valor suffered a severe pectoral injury during a No. 1 contenders match against his brother-in-law, "Big Time" Bill Collier, at “Turn It Up” in October 2023. Despite being hurt, Valor powered through the injury and won the match.
•While still coping with the injury, Valor defeated ESW heavyweight champion "The Remix" Kevin Bennett in a steel cage match at “WrestleBash XIII” in November.
•At “Frontier Freeze” in January, Valor announced his intentions to defend the title despite his injury. This led Collier to attack him, take the title and proclaim himself the new ESW heavyweight champion.
•In February, one of Valor's best friends and former ESW wrestler, "None of a Kind" Anthony Gaines, passed away. A tribute was held in his memory at “Tough Luck” in March.
•In May, Valor's trainer and close confidant, Tiberious King, passed away.
•Valor returned to wrestling action in May. That same month, at “Brawlfest 2024,” Valor announced his ESW return would occur at “Everything To Gaine” – which is named in honor of Gaines – and was the first entrant into the rumble.
•He made a surprise appearance at ESW's sister promotion, Pro Wrestling Rampage, in Erie, Pennsylvania, in June. He defeated Price Purgold and revealed PWR's transition into ESW Keystone.
•Throughout this time, Valor continued to train students at the Buffalo Wrestling Academy.
