WellNow Urgent Care has set an opening date for its Lewiston practice at 860 Center St.: Wednesday, July 10.
“Urgent care centers provide a vital service to the community, particularly in areas where primary care providers are booked solid or are nonexistent,” Public Relations Manager Annie Keller said Wednesday. “WellNow offers more services than the average PCP, including X-rays and sutures, so patients can be treated right away without having to go to the emergency department, where they’ll face long wait times and an expensive bill.
“The new WellNow in Lewiston will provide timely evaluation and treatment for ailments such as colds and flu, COVID-19, allergies, RSV, sprains, burns, lacerations, and allergies, as well as onsite X-rays, lab testing and physicals. Occupational medicine services, including Workers’ Compensation assistance, pre-employment physicals, drug and alcohol testing and more, are also available on a walk-in basis. WellNow also offers 24/7 Virtual Care, which patients can access now.”
WellNow has already become a member of the Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce.
“After a long stretch of construction and other setbacks, we are excited about the opening of WellNow Urgent Care on July 10,” Chamber President Jennifer Pauly said. “We have been in communication with their team and are working with them to celebrate their opening. The WellNow Urgent Care facility is a recognizable name with a large presence in several states, giving residents and visitors another option for non-emergency situations when the local doctor’s office is closed and the emergency room at a hospital is not needed.”
