Obituary: Carol (Dickerson) Willer

Carol (Dickerson) Willer passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, at her home in Victor. She was 80 years old.

She was born April 1, 1943, in Brooklyn, to William and Catherine (Callan) Dickerson. She graduated from Erasmus in Brooklyn in 1960 and attended Brooklyn College, where she met her first husband, Edward P. Fox. They were married April 18, 1964.

In 1976, they relocated to Grand Island. Ed died in November of 1979. She remarried Robert Willer on Sept. 21, 1983. She worked as a homemaker and as a secretary at St. Stephens Catholic Church for the remainder of her career.

After the passing of her husband Bob, in 2015, she relocated to Victor, living at the Legacy independent living community. She enjoyed spending time with family, model railroad activities, ceramics, sewing and knitting, and was very active in her church.

Carol is survived by her brother, Callan Dickerson, of Forestville; by her son, Gregory Fox (Monica), of Braintree Vermont; by her daughter, Lee (Kirk) Palmer, of Victor; by her stepson, Robert (Kim) Willer Jr.; by her stepdaughter, Jean (Eric) Pecoraro; and by six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husbands Edward Fox Robert Willer, as well as her parents and stepmother.

Graveside service and burial will take place at noon Saturday, Sept. 22, in the Blue Mountain Cemetery in Ryegate, Vermont. To offer the family an online condolence, visit www.rickerfh.com
