The FeedMore WNY Foundation’s popular plant sale is back in time for spring planting and Mother’s Day gifts. From Monday, April 15, through Monday, April 30, participants have the option to purchase hanging baskets, potted plants and annual flats. Orders may be placed online at www.feedmorewny.org/plant-sale.

Participants who place an online order will receive a voucher for redemption at either Lavocat's Family Greenhouse and Nursery, 8441 County Road, East Amherst; Bengert Greenhouses, 230 French Road, West Seneca; or Chiavetta’s Potatoes and Greenhouse, 9784 S. Main St., Angola. The voucher only can be redeemed at the specific location for which it was purchased. Participants will be able to select their plants at Lavocat’s, Bengert Greenhouses and Chiavetta’s Potatoes and Greenhouse from May 3-31.

Proceeds from the plant sale will benefit FeedMore WNY as it continues its mission of providing dignity, hope and a brighter future to Western New Yorkers in need.

“The FeedMore WNY Foundation plant sale is a great way to assist our neighbors facing food insecurity. Proceeds from this fundraiser support FeedMore WNY’s critical feeding programs that nourish children, families, older adults and veterans throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties,” said Lisa Woodring, FeedMore WNY executive vice president of external affairs. “This year, we are excited to partner with three greenhouses to make it even more convenient to participate in this important fundraiser.”

In addition, there is another way to support FeedMore WNY this season while also beautifying one’s garden. Farmer Pirates Compost is donating a portion of all spring 2024 compost sales to FeedMore WNY. Orders can be placed online at www.farmerpirates.com/our-compost. A link is also available on FeedMore WNY’s plant sale webpage.
