Niagara County Legislator Shawn Foti today reminded residents that the county began accepting reservations for picnic shelters in county parks in March, and reservations are quickly filling up. The county operates five parks: Krull, Oppenheim, Royalton Ravine, West Canal Marina and Burmaster at Bond Lake.

“The Parks Department is hard at work getting our parks ready for the coming season, and we have been making some significant capital investments into our facilities; so, we expect heavy usage this summer,” said Foti, who chairs the infrastructure committee that oversees the parks. “If you are looking at a specific date to utilize one of the parks, perhaps for a graduation party or family reunion, I wouldn’t wait much longer to book your picnic shelter.”

Reservations can be made at www.niagaracounty.com/parks. There are also shelter maps available and a list of parks rules and policies.
