New volunteers welcome
Shea’s Performing Arts Center Press Release
Shea’s Performing Arts Center kicked off National Volunteer Month by expressing gratitude to the large base of volunteers who help support theater operations and performances.
Approximately 1,000 people serve in various volunteer capacities: working concessions, serving as ushers, staffing the coat-check counter, helping with restoration work, operating the Wurlitzer player piano, assisting with the high school awards program, and supporting fundraising events.
“Volunteers play a huge role in ensuring a great visitor experience for all who walk through the doors of our theaters,” said Brian Higgins, president and CEO of Shea’s Performing Arts Center. “We are extremely grateful for the time, energy and dedication volunteers bring to this historic institution.”
New volunteers are always welcome. Those interested can sign up through the Shea’s Performing Arts Center website at: https://www.sheas.org/volunteer-program/. Incoming volunteers will be invited to an upcoming orientation.
April is recognized as National Volunteer Month.
