NBC renews all 3 'Chicago' shows, plus 'Law & Order,' 'SVU'

NBC has renewed “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: SVU” for the 2024-25 season.

All five shows are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.

All shows stream next day on Peacock.

Among total viewers, all three “Chicago” series rank among the top 10 primetime entertainment shows this season. “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.” are the top three Wednesday shows this season in total viewers.

The 25th season of “Law & Order: SVU” is Thursday’s No. 1 entertainment show in the 18-49 demo.

Across all platforms, all five shows are up double and triple-digits vs. the prior season in both total viewers and the 18-49 demo (L+35).

  • “Chicago Fire” is averaging 12.6 million viewers (up 86%) and is up 236% in the demo.
  • “Chicago P.D.” is averaging 12.0 million viewers (up 114%) and is up 287% in the demo.
  • “Chicago Med” is averaging 10.5 million viewers (up 57%) and is up 141% in the demo.
  • “Law & Order: SVU” is averaging 11.2 million viewers (up 111%) and is up 325% in the demo.
  • “Law & Order” is averaging 7.7 million viewers (up 56%) and is up 122% in the demo.

The status of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” is still in discussion.
