Stirling will perform at Shea’s, visit Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre for New Year’s Eve
Last night, violinist Lindsey Stirling kicked off another year of her incredibly successful North American “Snow Waltz 2023” tour, in Stateline, Nevada, at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. In support of her smash Christmas album, “Snow Waltz,” Stirling will embark across the U.S., hitting 20-plus cities, performing in Las Vegas, El Paso, Atlantic City and Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo (Tuesday, Dec. 12).
Stirling’s unique interpretations of beautifully nostalgic holiday music will be more dynamic than ever. As Consequence puts it: “the violinist has become a fixture of Christmastime concerts with her combination of cutting-edge performances that include dance, trapeze, lyra, and aerial work along with her signature genre-bending, amped-up orchestrations.”
The “theatrically whimsical violin shredder’s” (Stereogum) live performances have become known for audience participation, intricate costumes, dancing and acrobatics. Her previous co-headlining tour with Evanescence was named one of Live Nation’s best-selling amphitheater tours. She’s toured with acts including Walk the Earth, AJR, Melanie Martinez, Robert Delong and Lights. Throughout her 10-year-plus career she’s sold over 1 million headline tickets, done over 614 live performances, and sold-out over 200 shows. She also sold over 15,000 digital tickets for her livestreamed Christmas special in 2021, which was seen by over 100,000 people.
All throughout “Snow Waltz,” Stirling matches the stunning complexity of her arrangements with warmly effusive energy. The album features whimsical twists on Christmas classics such as “Sleigh Ride,” “Deck the Halls,” “Joy To The World” and "O Holy Night,” in addition to originals “Snow Waltz” and “Ice Storm.”
