Warner Music Nashville multi-Platinum star Gabby Barrett recognizes men of true quality with her new track “Cowboy Back,” celebrating stand-up guys with strong values and a rock-solid heart. Available across all streaming platforms and digital retailers, the stars-in-her-eyes anthem was written by Barrett with Jon Nite and Jesse Frasure, and once again finds the hitmaker championing classic romance. Listen here.
“I was inspired by my wonderful husband, a Texan, when I was writing this one,” Barrett shared. “ ‘Cowboy Back’ is all about appreciating the hardworking guys out there with strong values – those who are authentically ‘country.’ ”
Shining a light on those who embody the cowboy spirit – everyday guys who value honor, honesty and respect – it’s a swaying, hand-in-hand tribute to character and integrity with a bold sound to match. Serving as co-producer on “Cowboy Back” with Ross Copperman, Barrett continues to take a leading role in all aspects of her new music. Together, they infuse the heart-pumping midtempo with a blend of then and now – channeling their inner Shania Twain with a buzzing fiddle melody wrapping around the modern production, while Barrett’s unmistakable vocal swoons with easy confidence.
Arriving as the second release off her forthcoming sophomore album, “Cowboy Back” follows Barrett’s current Top 30-and-climbing single, “Glory Days,” while her new creative chapter unfolds. After spending the summer performing select dates on tour with Kane Brown, the acclaimed entertainer is credited as co-writer and co-producer on both new releases, and promises so much more to come, as she takes the creative reins like never before.
