The Niagara County Department of Employment and Training will hold an outdoor career fair on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Oppenheim Park for those seeking employment. More than 75 companies with open positions have signed up to take part.
“Every day, there is another story about an employer looking to fill open positions and how they cannot find workers,” said Niagara County Legislator Jesse Gooch, chairman of the community service committee and a small business owner whose company has previously participated in the event. “With 75 companies participating in the job fair, there has never been a better time to find a job, whether you are currently unemployed or looking for a change.”
Director of Employment and Training Donald Jablonksi said the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Oppenheim Park, located at 2713 Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield. No appointment is necessary.
“We continue to be overwhelmed with employers in desperate need of employees, and there does not seem to be an end in sight for the demand,” Jablonski said. “Anyone looking for a job, regardless of skill and educational level, should attend this event. There is a broad spectrum of jobs available, and our WorkSource1 team will be present to provide job seekers with servicers like resume writing and interview prep, as they conduct their job search.”
