Press Release
The Atlanta Rhythm Section (ARS) will perform in North Tonawanda at the Riviera Theatre on June 3.
ARS formed in 1971 and has long been considered not only one of southern rock’s finest bands, but one of the 1970s' most prolific hit-makers. They recorded some of the most indelible songs of the decade, including timeless classics “Spooky” (a remake of the Classic IV 1968 hit), “So into You,” “I’m Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight” and “Imaginary Lover,” amongst many others, along with classic, chart-topping albums “Champagne Jam,” “Dog Days” and “Rock and Roll Alternative.”
The band is known for its smooth, soulful sound that’s filled with catchy hooks and memorable melodies. But they can also rock it up in their inimitable southern-fried style, while also incorporating jazz and blues licks into their repertoire.
