Final Four announced

Press Release

New York burger lovers have narrowed down the search for this year's “Best NY Burger” one last time. After sifting through the abundant votes, voters have chosen this year's final four contestants in the contest to (in random order):

√ Tap it Bar and Grill, Rochester, "Aftermath Burger"

√ Rock Burger, Niagara Falls, "716 Burger"

√ Ben's Fresh, Port Jervis, "Benny Burger"

√ Ale & Angus Pub, Syracuse, "Bacon Grilled Cheeseburger"

The four finalists will all travel to Onondaga Community College in Syracuse on May 8 for the final face-off. A panel of judges will taste and score each entry to determine the winner. NYBC will announce the winner via social media at the cookoff.

The New York Beef Council launched its annual “Best NY Burger” contest on April 1 to celebrate the iconic and most popular “sandwich” on a restaurant menu – the burger! The contests kicked off with nominations from consumers. Restaurants were encouraged to advocate for votes from their patrons to gain access to the top 10 status.

The Top 10 selected burgers, with photos, were hosted on the NYBC's Facebook page and contest website for a voting period of one week.

The “Best NY Burger” contest is sponsored and funded by the New York Beef Council through the New York State Beef Checkoff Program with the help of the Iowa Beef Industry Council.

The New York Beef Council is funded by the $1-per-head National Beef Checkoff Program. With these Beef Checkoff dollars, the New York Beef Council promotes the consumption and education of beef among consumers. This is accomplished through several programs and marketing initiatives such as sponsored content with social influencers, paid media advertising, social media content, and partnerships with various partners both in and outside of New York.
