The Niagara Arts Guild meets Friday, March 10, to create paper books for future use. Leading attendees in the activity is Judy R. Light, a retired art teacher from Medina Central School District, yea origami artist, avid doodler, and greeting card designer, with work for sale at Artisan Alley in Newfane.
Organizers said, “A lifetime nature nut, Judy is an Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge volunteer, and Allegany nature pilgrimage leader. She is expert at making handmade books, cards and ‘zines.’ At the meeting, materials are provided for each attendee to create two take home books or ‘zines.’ "
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Dale Association, 33 Ontario St., Lockport. All artists and art lovers are welcome to attend.
The Niagara Arts Guild has informed and supported artists in Western New York since 1948.
