Perry’s Ice Cream Company introduces three new retail flavors for spring 2023. Its latest premium introductions will debut regionally at grocery and retail stores and are available for purchase online across the continental U.S.
Also in the 2023 lineup are four new three-gallon ice cream tub flavors, including one new non-dairy tub flavor for scoop shop and food service customers.
A press release noted, “Perry’s 2023 retail innovations in the 1.5 QTS premium ice cream line was developed to meet consumer trends and add unique offerings.”
“Perry’s is known for bringing exciting, indulgent flavors to the category every year. With the consumer trend of wanting texture, we focused on that element within each new flavor. Banana Graham has crunchy graham crackers swirled into banana pudding ice cream; Dark Chocolate Pretzel has swirls of crushed salty pretzels in dark chocolate ice cream; and S’more Adventures has delicious fudge coated waffle cone pieces mixed into marshmallow and graham cracker ice cream,” said Nichole Buryta, senior brand manager at Perry’s.
The press release continued, “Flavor innovation continues with the introduction of four new three-gallon tub flavors: Bourbon Caramel Pecan, Mallow-dramatic, Wafer Wonder, and Peanut Butter & Cookies Oats Cream.”
“Our non-dairy offerings for scoop shops have been well received. Peanut Butter & Cookies Oats Cream is a decadent flavor mashup for peanut butter and cookie lovers,” Buryta said.
Bourbon Caramel Pecan is bourbon pecan ice cream with bourbon caramel swirls and pecans; Mallow-dramatic is marshmallow ice cream with milk fudge swirls and mini marshmallow cups; Wafer Wonder is wafer-flavored ice cream with crispy wafer swirls and fudge-coated wafer pieces; and Peanut Butter & Cookies Oats Cream is a marshmallow frozen dessert with peanut butter swirls and crushed cookies.
The press release stated, “Perry’s continues their tradition of using its signature slow-cooked, one-batch-at-a-time technique, while staying relevant to today’s changing consumer requests.”
All Perry’s milk and cream is rBST free. (Mintel Ice Cream & Frozen Novelties Report, January 2020. According to the FDA, no significant difference has been found between milk derived from rBST-treated and non-rBST-treated cows.)
The flavors will be arriving on shelves at retailers across New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, including Dash’s Market, Shurfine, Tops Markets, Walmart and Wegmans Food Markets.
