Tickets on sale Friday for show on May 25

Folk-indie band Mt. Joy will headline a 6:30 p.m. concert at the Artpark Amphitheater on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Special guest to be announced. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9.

This concert is presented by Funtime Presents and Artpark & Company.

A press release stated, “The Philadelphia quintet – Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar), Sam Cooper (guitar), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), Jackie Miclau (keys, piano) and Michael Byrnes (bass) – take their name from the quiet rural town in southwest Pennsylvania, about four hours from their Philadelphia base. Formed in 2016, they made their mark two years later when their self-titled ‘Mt. Joy’ debut album spun off ‘Silver Lining,’ an uplifting power ballad that went to No. 1 at AAA radio (Billboard adult alternative airplay) and has eclipsed over 120 million Spotify streams to date.

“Their second album, ‘Rearrange Us’ (2020) drew widespread critical raves. Their third studio album, ‘Orange Blood,’ was released on June 17, 2022. Over the past six years Mt. Joy has amassed over half a billion streams and has earned acclaim from NPR, Billboard, Rolling Stone and more. The band has performed at a variety of festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and has toured with The Lumineers, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Revivalists, and The Head and The Heart.”

General admission and bowl tickets are $41.50 to $51.50. There will be a limited number of VIP front-of-stage upgrades available for purchase. Carry-in chairs are not permitted, but blankets will be allowed.

Ticket prices include facility fee; additional fees apply for online orders. Purchase online at ticketmaster.com. The Artpark box office will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at 450 S. Fourth St., Lewiston. Visit artpark.net for more information.
