The Golisano Medical Oncology Center, a member site of the Roswell Park Care Network, has received Association for Clinical Oncology Quality Oncology Practice Initiative certification for the next three years.
As a certified QOPI, the Golisano Medical Oncology Center is listed on the ASCO website and receives detailed reports to benchmark against other top-performing practices, can routinely evaluate performance against quality measures and standards, and demonstrates its commitment to quality to patients.
“This accreditation is a testament to our commitment to providing the highest quality of cancer care to our patients and community by elevating our practice to the highest standards,” said Dr. Bhuvana Ramkumar, medical director of the Golisano Medical Oncology Center.
Located on Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center’s downtown Niagara Falls campus, the 6,085-square-foot facility brings Roswell’s expertise in areas such as oncology and hematology consultations, chemotherapy infusion and immunotherapy, readily accessible to those who live and work in Niagara County.
A press release said, “Since opening in July 2020, the $2 million center has seen over 8,000 patient visits, exceeding expectation and further emphasizing the importance of this center for the Niagara community.”
