Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York (RMHC of WNY) announced the hiring of Krystina Burow as the new director of development. Burow brings to the organization more than 13 years of experience as a nonprofit executive in multiple facets of development, such as building relationships, strategic planning and fundraising events.

“Krystina's expertise in fundraising combined with her track record of success will be a tremendous asset to our organization,” RMHC of WNY Executive Director Marianne Hoover said. “Krystina's skills will be critical in developing RMHC of WNY’s fundraising efforts as we look towards the future filled with new challenges and opportunities. I know that, with Krystina on our team, RMHC of WNY is positioned to have a great impact. We're thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Burow said, “I couldn’t be more excited to join this team. RMHC of WNY is very close to my heart, having experienced firsthand the impact and comfort provided by the Happy Wheels Cart when my son was hospitalized. Joining RMHC of WNY allows me to combine my passions and expertise to cultivate relations with our existing donors and new donors. This is a dream come true.”

Prior to joining RMHC of WNY, Burow most recently served as the development officer for Tapestry Charter School, where she was responsible for the leadership of the $2.7 million capital campaign for the development of their community track and field. She was also responsible for the direction and oversight of their development and fundraising efforts.

Burow holds Bachelor of Science degree in public communication from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Grant Professional Association. She has also served on the board of the North Tonawanda National Little League since 2021.

Born and raised in North Tonawanda, Krystina currently lives with her husband, Timothy. They have three young children, two dogs and one goldfish.

RMHC of WNY is a chapter of the national and international network of Ronald McDonald House Charities. It is operated by a local volunteer board of directors. For more information, visit www.rmhcwny.org.
