Master John Presti, owner of Presti Karate Centers in Niagara Falls and Lewiston, is once again teaming with his friend of 47 years – his teacher and grand master of UFAF – Chuck Norris.

The two will run an event in Las Vegas. Headliners training his students and others are Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Machado. A Brazilian ju-jitsu and karate tournament will follow.

Presti, a Wilson resident, is one of Norris' highest ranked blackbelts – a ninth-degree – and serves on the board of directors under Norris. His daughter, Carly, a fourth-degree black belt, will also be training.

On May 23, the following local teens passed their first-degree black belt test: Cody Larson of Ransomville, Benton Moshier of Wilson, Madison Vannone of Youngstown, and Daniel Trane III and Hunter Thurston of Niagara Falls. A DVD of the test was sent to Norris and was approved.

Presti Karate stated, “All of the young people are role models in their schools and at our karate school. All have trained a minimum of six years. We are very proud of them.”
